Questions
Does my voice ever leave my Mac?
No. Recognition runs on your Mac. Eloksen only goes online to download the speech model once, check for updates and activate your license.
Which apps does it work in?
Anywhere you can type: Messages, Slack, Mail, Google Docs, Notes, ChatGPT, your code editor. The text lands wherever your cursor is.
Can I change the key?
Yes. Fn is the default and you can pick another key in Settings. Double-tap it to keep listening hands-free.
Does it work with AirPods?
Yes. It records with your Mac's mic by default so your music keeps full quality, or you can choose any microphone.
What languages does it support?
English for now. More languages are on the way.
What happens after the trial?
Buy it once to keep dictating. Your dictionary, styles and settings are all kept.
Does it need the internet?
Dictation never does. You need it once after buying, to activate your license. After that Eloksen is yours for good, online or off.
